Well, I’ve had wicked bad luck the last few weeks so after we saw Oz the Great and Powerful this character seemed appropriate to draw. After nearly two weeks, four phone calls, three separate guys out here and a brand new router and wiring our Internet is sorta, sometimes back up to speed after the phone company tinkered with the box in our backyard while burying a new line for our neighbor. I’ll give it a few more days to get better, then it’s back to calling customer service…

I can’t paint at my drawing table since I messed up my ankle by slipping and falling in the shower, so this was just a quick doodle done lazing in the recliner with my foot up.

We were having trouble with our Internet bogging down so we had a tech come out today. He shut off the Internet for awhile to work on it and I got bored. (Hmm, maybe the kiddos are right and I am addicted to the net.) I fiddled around at my drawing table to keep from going nuts and ended up with this little guy…..

R4 has been studying birds, so when I drew this he acted as my painting advisor. He stood by my drawing table telling me which colours needed to go where and approving color mixes. It was so much fun getting his input and painting this with him!!

I started the 30 paintings in 30 days challenge a day late so I did one extra today to make my count of 30. It was a great challenge and I’m looking forward to participating once more in January when Leslie Saeta hosts the challenge again.
